LONDON – 2012-10-25 — /travelprnews.com/ — London Hilton on Park Lane has launched its festive afternoon tea with a sleigh-load of seasonal chocolate treats.

The ultimate seasonal indulgence, the Christmas afternoon tea comes served on a solid chocolate plate and includes gift-shaped chocolate fancies, chocolate-sculpted, snowtopped Christmas trees and a miniature Christmas pudding parfait. Non-chocolate treats include a classic selection of open sandwiches, decorative cupcakes and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Guests can complement these sweet and savoury delicacies with a choice of 16 loose leaf teas. These speciality blends, originating from across four continents, include orange blossom Oolong, Imperial Earl Grey with blue flowers and the exclusive Hilton Afternoon Tea blend – a classic, light and elegant blend of Darjeeling, with a hint of smoky Lapsang and a touch of Oolong Formosa. A glass of Pommery Champagne can also be added to give that extra sparkle.

The Christmas afternoon tea is served at Podium, an established member of The Tea Guild. The Tea Guild recognises establishments dedicated to brewing and serving tea, which meet the exemplary standards set by the United Kingdom Tea Council.

The Christmas afternoon tea is available from 17th December, 2012 until 4th January, 2013, served from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. daily and priced at £32.50 per person, or £39.50 per person with Champagne.
