Airport to Host Major Emergency Training Exercise

2012-10-15 — /travelprnews.com/ — On Tuesday, October 16, Halifax Stanfield International Airport will host a full-scale training exercise. The exercise will include a simulated emergency aircraft landing and terrorist threat.

The objectives of the exercise are to test the Airport’s emergency plans and the multi-agency response to an airport incident, as well as to comply with aerodrome security measures.

A number of agencies will be involved in the exercise including provincial and federal government departments, RCMP, HRM, EHS, airlines and NAVCANADA.

Throughout the morning visitors can expect to see various emergency vehicles and personnel in and around the Airport.
