HONG KONG, 2014-9-25 — /Travel PR News/ — Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) today announced that it has appointed Florence Chung as Executive Director, Human Resources & Administration, with effect from 6 October 2014. Ms Chung will be a key member of the senior management team.
In her new role, Ms Chung will head the Human Resources & Administration Department, where she will oversee corporate culture development, human resources planning, talent management and succession planning, compensation and benefits policies, as well as stakeholder management for issues related to human resources.
Ms Chung brings with her over 25 years of experience in general and human resources management gained with sizeable commercial companies and public utilities in Hong Kong. Areas of expertise include organisational development as well as leadership, talent and change management.
Commenting on the appointment, C K Ng, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the AA, said, “I am delighted to have Ms Chung joining us at the Airport Authority. People are always our most valued asset, especially for helping the airport maintain world-class, efficient operations while it continues to grow. With her extensive experience and expertise, I am confident that she will make a significant contribution as the AA formulates human resources strategies that will help us meet our future demand.”
Holding a Master of Science Degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a Bachelor of Social Science Degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Ms Chung is currently the General Manager of Group Human Resources at HKR International Limited. Prior to that, Ms Chung served at Hutchison Port Holdings and CLP Group.
