2012-12-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — Flying Home for Christmas – once again this year airberlin is flying thousands of flight guests home to their families and friends for the Christmas break. On 24th December 2012 alone, a total of 238 flights will take off, destined for and leaving from Germany. Whether they are flying to Oslo, New York or Nuremberg, airberlin ensures its flight guests reach their destinations all over the world for Christmas.

“Being a flight attendant is a dream job for me, so I am happy to work even on days when other people are on holiday,” says Sabine Kraft, a flight attendant at airberlin. At Christmas, the 28-year-old is flying from Berlin to Gran Canaria and back aboard an Airbus A320. “At lunchtime I‘ll be in the Canary Islands and in the evening I’ll be sitting next to the Christmas tree with my family. Flying brings the whole world closer together; that’s what has always fascinated me about my job.”

airberlin pilot Thomas Schuster is also flying flight guests home for Christmas aboard an Airbus A320. “I’ll be spending the night of the 23rd to the 24th of December in Moscow and flying back to Berlin on Christmas Eve. There’s always a festive and reflective mood on board our flights at Christmas time. It’s really wonderful to see how our flight guests are looking forward to Christmas as they leave the aircraft,” says Thomas Schuster.

airberlin is once again providing a special festive service for its guests on board flights over the Christmas period. Germany’s second largest airline is inviting guests travelling on any domestic flight after 4 pm to sample a glass of mulled wine. Upon disembarking, guests receive a special Christmas edition of airberlin’s popular chocolate heart, with a ribbon so that it can also be hung on the Christmas tree. In addition, airberlin is offering to transport Christmas trees free of charge on all flights in the airline’s route network. The tree should not exceed two metres in height and should be registered with the Service Center at least 48 hours before departure. Further information about all the Christmas special offers available can be found at airberlin.com/weihnachten.
