BERLIN, Germany, 2016-Nov-29 — /Travel PR News/ — Whether it’s Miami Beach or the white sands of the Dominican Republic: what would the festivities be without a Christmas tree?
Passengers flying airberlin in December are again invited to transport a Christmas tree anywhere in the airline’s international route network free of charge. The tree must be no more than two metres long and be registered up to 48 hours before departure by calling the company’s Service Centre on +49 (0) 1806 334 334 (€0.20 per call from a German landline). At check-in, the netted tree is handed over as oversize baggage and then collected from the baggage carousel or Bulky Baggage desk, depending on the destination airport.
Transporting Christmas trees has a long tradition at airberlin. In recent years, airberlin has transported around 100 Christmas trees to sunny destinations around the world each festive period.
