airberlin increasing flight frequency to Fort Myers in sunny Florida this summer

Berlin, Germany, 2016-Mar-03 — /Travel PR News/ — airberlin is extending its offer to Fort Myers and will be adding a weekly flight to the sunny Florida destination, increasing flight frequency to four times a week from 5 June 2016. The only European airline with a non-stop connection to Fort Myers, airberlin offers flights from Dusseldorf to the city on the Gulf of Mexico in southwest Florida on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and, soon, Sundays. The flights are connected with many other destinations.

In Dusseldorf, the Airbus A330-200 with 271 Economy seats and 19 Business Class seats will take off at 9:50 am and land at 2:05 pm local time. The return flight leaves on the same day at 4:10 pm, reaching Dusseldorf the following day at 7:05 am. Anyone flying Economy can get more legroom for 79 euros per route: all airberlin long-haul aircraft are equipped with 48 XL seats, which offer 15 cm more space – or “pitch”– between the rows. airberlin is thus the airline with the greatest seat pitch on long-haul flights in Economy Class.

airberlin has been flying to Fort Myers for more than 20 years. The region offers travellers tropical nature, kilometres of white sandy beaches and numerous water sports facilities. Seashell collectors also get their money’s worth: there are more than 400 species of shellfish on the sandy beaches of the Sanibel Peninsula, and they wash up by the thousands every morning. With the daily flights from Dusseldorf to Miami, airberlin will fly eleven weekly flights to Florida starting in June. In summer 2016, airberlin will fly from Dusseldorf and Berlin to seven destinations in the US, up to 55 times a week.

Flights and XL Seats can be booked on https://www.airberlin.com, around the clock from the airberlin Service Centre: 0180 6 – 334 334 (€0.20 per call from a German landline / max. €0.60 per call from a German mobile) or from a travel agency.
