(PRESS RELEASE) El Segundo, CA, 2024-Nov-7 — /Travel PR News/ — Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga have announced a new codeshare partnership designed to improve air connectivity between the United States and the Cook Islands via French Polynesia, making it easier for travelers to explore the South Pacific. Through this partnership, passengers will benefit from expanded route options, increased flexibility, and seamless travel connections between Tahiti and the Cook Islands.

Under the agreement, Air Tahiti Nui will place its “TN” code on select Air Rarotonga flights, while Air Rarotonga will apply its “GZ” code on Air Tahiti Nui flights. Highlights of the Codeshare Agreement:

  • Expanded Network: The partnership provides easier access to various islands in the Cook Islands and French Polynesia.
  • Simplified Travel Experience: Passengers can travel on one ticket, streamlining check-in and baggage transfers.
  • Enhanced Flight Options: Coordinated schedules mean more options and shorter waiting times for connections, plus loyalty program benefits for frequent flyers.

Mathieu Bechonnet, Managing Director of Air Tahiti Nui, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This collaboration enables us to offer an even more enriching travel experience, making it easier for travelers to enjoy the stunning destinations in the Pacific.”

Ewan Smith, Managing Director of Air Rarotonga, added, “We’re thrilled to strengthen ties between the Cook Islands and French Polynesia, providing more options and flexibility for our passengers.”
