MONACO, 2014-7-16 — /Travel PR News/ — Air Partner teamed up with RM Auctions during the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique weekend to host an exclusive VIP preview of the iconic 1974 Formula 1 winning Hesketh 308 before it went under the hammer on 10th May 2014. The glittering event, which took place at Le Sporting, and is captured in this video, was attended by special guests Lord Hesketh and James Hunt’s son, Freddie. The Hesketh 308-1 was sold for €280,000 with the new owner offering Freddie Hunt the opportunity to take his father’s championship-winning car for a spin!
The occasion marked the beginning of a special relationship between Air Partner and RM Auctions and will be followed up by RM London in September. Described as RM’s flagship European event, the London auction is the largest of its kind in the UK and is held at the modern Battersea Evolution on the banks of the River Thames which provides the perfect atmosphere for the outstanding mix of elegant and sporting automobiles that will be available for auction.
