Aeroflot to welcome Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted to its hub at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport

MOSCOW, 2015-8-11 — /Travel PR News/ — Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) was today pleased to welcome Edward Plaisted, the CEO of Skytrax, which runs the aviation industry’s leading global ratings system, to its hub at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport. An Aeroflot delegation led by Giorgio Callegari, Deputy CEO for Strategy and Alliances, welcomed Edward Plaisted to the Galaktika Business Lounge in Sheremetyevo’s Terminal E. At the meeting, the Aeroflot team briefed the Skytrax CEO on the airline’s ongoing customer-service development programme and its plans to further refine the passenger experience with new features such as WiFi on-board all long-haul aircraft and 15 in-flight menu options catering to all dietary requirements. At the Paris Air Show in June, Aeroflot retained its title as Best Airline in Eastern Europe for the third straight year in Skytrax’s World Airline Awards. Russia’s flagship carrier operates one of the youngest fleets of any major global airline, and is dedicated to providing outstanding service to passengers both in-flight and on the ground. Aeroflot was named the world’s most punctual airline in May and November 2014 by FlightStats, while the Company’s cabin crew were named in Yahoo!’s global style list.
