Aer Lingus Expands Cork Airport Network With New Routes to Nice and Santiago de Compostela for Summer 2026

(IN SHORT) Aer Lingus is expanding its Summer 2026 schedule from Cork Airport with new routes to Nice and Santiago de Compostela, increased weekly flights to Glasgow, and the conversion of its Prague service into a year-round operation. The enhancements, alongside continued daily flights to Bristol and updated baggage benefits across Aer Lingus Regional services, are designed to offer greater flexibility and destination choice for travellers in southern Ireland.

(PRESS RELEASE) CORK, Ireland, 2026-Feb-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Aer Lingus is preparing for the Summer 2026 season at Cork Airport with the launch of two new European services, increased capacity on an existing UK route, and the extension of another destination to operate throughout the year.

New flights to Nice on the French Riviera and Santiago de Compostela in Spain’s Galicia region will be introduced as part of the expanded schedule, offering travellers additional leisure options from early May and June respectively. The airline has also confirmed that its Prague service, previously limited to the winter season, will now run year-round, giving passengers continuous access to the Czech capital.

Aer Lingus Regional, operated exclusively by Emerald Airlines, will strengthen connectivity to Scotland by increasing the frequency of its Glasgow service from four to six flights per week starting 25 May 2026. The additional Tuesday and Wednesday departures are intended to meet sustained demand from both business and leisure travellers.

The Summer 2026 programme builds on Aer Lingus’ established network from Cork, which already includes destinations such as Malaga, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Faro, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Bordeaux, and London Heathrow. The airline notes that the additions further diversify travel choices for customers in the south of Ireland while supporting inbound tourism.

The Bristol route operated by Aer Lingus Regional will continue with daily service, including twice-daily flights on Mondays and Fridays, maintaining strong links between Cork and the southwest of England.

In parallel with the network expansion, Aer Lingus recently confirmed that its 10kg carry-on baggage allowance for Plus and Advantage fare customers will apply across all Aer Lingus Regional flights from 3 March 2026. Saver fare passengers can choose to add a cabin bag or check luggage into the hold, while AerClub members will see their baggage benefits extended across the regional network.

Tickets for the Summer 2026 schedule are now available through Aer Lingus sales channels.
