Known for its locally inspired midscale accommodations, Mercure celebrated openings in key locations such as London, Mexico, Dubai, and Japan, expanding its global presence to 68 countries. The brand, which has been part of Accor since 1975, continues to attract hotel owners due to its strong market recognition and adaptability to local markets.
Mercure’s growth has been particularly notable in China and Japan, with nearly 30 new hotels opening in China and 11 in Japan. This year marks a transformative moment for the brand as it eyes further expansion, with more than 200 new properties planned by 2028.
