AAAE Reorganization Creates Government, Meetings/International Business Units To Better Focus On Core Member Needs

Alexandria, Va. — 2012-11-04 — /travelprnews.com/ — American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) CEO Charles Barclay announced today that he is reorganizing AAAE to acknowledge the reality of its growth into significant, varied business lines to better serve the association’s members.

The reorganization creates two new business lines, AAAE Gov and AAAE Meetings and International, and names full-time presidents to each. AAAE Gov President Todd Hauptli will publicly assume the role of AAAE’s top government affairs representative and chief policy strategist. AAAE Meetings and International President Spencer Dickerson will continue his work to broaden the association’s role as a trusted provider of key information and training to the global airport industry.

“This seamless reorganization is made possible by the extraordinary talent throughout AAAE’s senior staff ranks,” Barclay said. “Dickerson and Hauptli already are operating with significant independence, and this move is designed to enhance and advance that responsibility for these senior leaders and the staff members working for them.”

Barclay remains AAAE’s CEO. The reorganization will permit him to devote more of his time and attention to the critical areas of innovation, member service, technology, and finance, while ensuring that AAAE continues to meet its members’ expectations.
