Vueling to launch services to two new destinations out of Copenhagen

2012-12-11 — /travelprnews.com/ — In March and June 2013, the Spanish airline will open two new routes out of Copenhagen, to Florence and Malaga, respectively, bringing the number of Vueling routes out of Copenhagen to four.

Vueling opened its first two routes out of Copenhagen Airport less than a year ago. Next year, the airline will double the number of routes served out of Copenhagen, when its services to Barcelona and Alicante are complemented by the two new southern European destinations.

“Vueling has quickly become popular with Scandinavians travelling to some of the most attractive Spanish destinations. We are therefore pleased to see that they are now adding an additional two destinations to their route network out of Copenhagen, giving travellers more choices to more countries,” said Thomas Woldbye, CEO of Copenhagen Airport.

Vueling will open its service to Florence in Italy on 23 March 2013 when it also opens a base at this Tuscan airport. The service will be operated with four weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and in the weekend, using Airbus A319s seating 125 passengers.

On 18 June 2013, Vueling will open the new route to Alicante in southern Spain. The service will be operated with three weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, using Airbus A320s seating 180 passengers.
