VisitEngland Has ‘Licence to Thrill’ at EIBTM 2012

Delegates to enjoy 007-themed cocktails and giveaways

2012-11-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Visitors to VisitEngland’s stand at EIBTM 2012 will be ‘shaken, not stirred’, with a special James Bond-themed cocktail reception and fantastic competition prizes up for grabs. Running from 27-29 November in Barcelona, Spain, EIBTM is the world’s largest meetings and events trade show, attracting thousands of visitors every year. VisitEngland will be on stand G250, accompanied by representatives from a world-class collection of destinations and venues.

In celebration of the recent release of Skyfall, the twenty-third film in the Bond series, delegates will sip martinis while gathering top-secret information on how to make their next business event in England the most exciting and memorable ever.

The event will take place at 4.30pm on the Tuesday and Wednesday of EIBTM. A 007-themed quiz will also be running, with a great range of prizes courtesy of VisitEngland’s destination partners, including a two-night stay at luxury Devon hotel, Bovey Castle and two concert tickets to Ricoh Arena in Coventry, with accommodation and breakfast.  VisitEngland is also giving away a miniature replica of the classic Aston Martin DB5 ‘Bond car’ for the first 20 enquiries made at the stand with a requirement of 500 or more bed nights.

Simon Gidman, Head of Business Visits and Events at VisitEngland, commented:
“The events industry in Britain is worth almost £36 billion to the economy and employs over 530,000 people (BVEP, 2010). The exciting events of this year have been the best international advertisement we could ask for, and we want to capitalise on this to make England the destination of choice for business visits and events.”

Simon Gidman will be running presentations for buyers on the VisitEngland Stand at 12.00pm,2.30pm and 3.30pm every day during EIBTM. Drop by stand G250 to find out more about the variety of business event products available in England and advice on all aspects of organising events in England.
