Venice Flights Take Off From London City

2012-09-19 — /travelprnews.com/ — British Airways flights to the Northern Italian gateway of Venice take off from London City Airport today (September 17). The six times a week service to the city of canals is the sixth new destination this year for British Airways from London City where the airline is now officially the largest operator with the highest number of routes and customers.

The year-round service adds to the leisure portfolio from the Docklands airport where this year British Airways will also be operating to Palma, Ibiza and Malaga during the winter for the first time.

As the airline continues to grow its network from London City, customers have more choice to more leisure destinations, flying on one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the business.A total of 23 destinations in the UK, Europe and the USA are served by British Airways from the airport.

Luke Hayhoe, general manager commercial for British Airways at London City, said: “We are very excited about the launch of the new Venice service, a popular winter and summer route. This is what our customers have been asking for, year-round short break destinations that are only a couple of hours flying time from the centre of London.

Our customers love the quick and easy service at London City, just 15 minutes from curbside to airside, making the most of their valuable time. We have some very competitive all inclusive fares to all our destinations, which include a generous free 23kg luggage allowance, free on-line check-in and seat selection 24 hours before departure and complimentary food and drink on board.
