New York Islanders games at UBS Arena are getting an unusually playful culinary refresh for the 2026-27 season, with Delaware North Sportservice introducing everything from candy-filled grilled cheese and a two-foot stromboli to a rotating concession showcasing local restaurants.

The new lineup arrives as the Belmont Park arena approaches its fifth anniversary and reflects the growing role of food and beverage in the live sports experience. According to details released by Delaware North, the programme spans handheld dishes, burgers, desserts, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks across multiple arena sections.

A local restaurant rotation joins the concourse

One of the season’s more community-focused additions is the Coca-Cola Corner at Section 105. Four local restaurants are due to rotate through the concession during the season, with a portion of sales supporting efforts to address food insecurity.

Tap Room will open the rotation with Pastrami Sliders and Prime Rib Sliders. Wok N’ Roll is scheduled to follow with Birthday Cake Egg Rolls and Vodka Chicken Parm Egg Rolls, while the remaining participating concepts will be announced later.

“Our team is always looking for new ways to surprise and delight fans through food,” said Ted Donnelly, executive chef for Delaware North Sportservice at UBS Arena. He said this season’s selection combines reinterpretations of familiar arena dishes with less conventional flavours and presentations.

Candy, comfort food and oversized handhelds

Among the headline additions is the South Shore Berry Boba Shake at Section 119, combining blueberry popping boba, blue raspberry shake, whipped cream, graham-crumb “sand” and Swedish Fish candy. At Section 220 Market, the Nerds Gummy Cluster Brie Grilled Cheese pairs brie and Nerds Gummy Clusters on toasted sourdough.

Other unconventional combinations include an Uncrustable Pulled Pork Tostada built around a fried peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich, and the Poke Esquites cup with corn, avocado, red onion, raw tuna and cilantro. A two-foot Chicken Cutlet Strombo“LI” filled with chicken cutlets, mozzarella, Parmesan and marinara will be served at Section 108 Market.

The wider savoury lineup includes a Burrata Boat of tater tots, tomatoes, burrata, balsamic glaze and basil; Rangoon Toast; a Churrasco Steak Sandwich; Loaded Kraft Mac & Cheese with a choice of jerk chicken, Buffalo chicken or pulled pork; and Big Chicken Hot Chicken & Waffles.

Burgers, desserts and alcohol-free choices expand

Three burgers join the programme, including a Bodega Burger with jalapeños, queso fresco, grilled pineapple and chamoy, plus a Hot Honey & Pork Rind Pimento Cheeseburger. Dessert options include Mister Softee Nachos and Magnolia Banana Pudding Cups, while a Sparky-themed collectible popcorn bucket adds a merchandise-style element to the concessions programme.

The arena is also expanding its mocktail selection. New alcohol-free choices include a Diet Orange Juice float combining Diet Coke, orange juice and vanilla cream base; Berry Cola Refresher; Blackberry Cola; and Cherry Lemonade.

Michael Sciortino, general manager of UBS Arena, said the venue’s food and beverage programme has grown significantly since its 2021 opening, with the aim of offering both distinctive dishes and familiar arena staples.

UBS Arena has welcomed more than three million guests across more than 350 events since November 2021, according to the venue. For the coming Islanders season, the new concessions suggest the arena is treating dining as an increasingly visible part of the event itself rather than simply a supporting service between periods.
