(IN SHORT) TUI Hotels & Resorts has expanded its global portfolio with seven new hotel openings across Europe, Asia and the Caribbean during summer 2026, while preparing additional developments in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and other markets. The latest additions include resorts and city hotels in Türkiye, Spain, Bhutan, Barbados and China, reflecting the group’s focus on experience-led hospitality across beach, wellness, family, cultural and urban travel segments. The next opening is scheduled for August, when TUI Blue Han River will open in Vietnam with 125 rooms, dining venues and views over the Han River. TUI also announced plans for eight additional TUI Suneo properties, including first entries for the value-focused leisure brand in Cambodia and Malaysia, as well as new hotels in Vietnam, China, Bulgaria, Spain and Türkiye. The group said the expansion is supported by partnerships in established and emerging destinations and is designed to reach new guest segments while growing its portfolio of more than 460 hotels worldwide.
(PRESS RELEASE) HANNOVER, Germany, 2026-Jul-2 — /Travel PR News/ — TUI Hotels & Resorts has continued to expand its international portfolio with seven new hotel openings across Europe, Asia and the Caribbean during the summer 2026 season.
The latest additions range from beachfront resorts and family-focused properties to urban hotels in culturally significant destinations, reflecting the group’s focus on experience-led hospitality across multiple travel segments.
TUI said the expansion supports its integrated business model and is being delivered with local partners in both established holiday destinations and newer markets.
Marco Ciomperlik, Chief Operating Officer of TUI Group, said the latest openings demonstrate the group’s continued growth across a diverse range of locations.
He said the company is working with partners to support sustainable development and provide attractive holiday experiences for guests worldwide.
The next opening is scheduled for August 2026, when TUI Blue Han River will join the portfolio in Vietnam.
Located on the Han River, the hotel will offer 125 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop restaurant and a bar with panoramic views across the river.
TUI Hotels & Resorts is also progressing several future developments, including Riu Palace Phuket, which will mark the Riu brand’s first hotel in Thailand, and The Mora Singapore, the brand’s first property in Asia.
The group is also expanding TUI Suneo, its value-focused leisure hotel brand, through eight upcoming projects in Asia and Europe.
TUI Suneo Danang is due to open in Vietnam during summer 2026.
In 2026, the brand is also set to enter Cambodia with the opening of TUI Suneo Olympia Phnom Penh.
Further expansion is planned for 2027, including the first TUI Suneo hotels in Malaysia: TUI Suneo Mont Kiara and TUI Suneo Langkawi.
In China, the 250-room TUI Suneo Qinzhou is planned to open in summer 2027.
The TUI Suneo pipeline also includes TUI Suneo Compass in Varna, Bulgaria, TUI Suneo Torre de Sevilla in Spain and TUI Suneo Side in Türkiye, all scheduled to open in 2027.
Artur Gerber, Chief Executive Officer of TUI Hotels & Resorts, said the new signings in key markets will help the company extend its reach, attract new customer groups and create further growth opportunities for its leisure hotel brands.
The group said travellers can currently choose from more than 460 TUI Hotels & Resorts properties worldwide.
Among the summer 2026 additions is Akra Didim Resort & Spa, which joined the portfolio on 1 April 2026 on Türkiye’s Aegean coast.
The 359-room resort in Didim operates year-round and offers food and beverage options, wellness facilities, tennis, padel and pickleball, alongside the Sarnıç Spa & Wellness Centre.
The property also incorporates several sustainability measures. These include the reuse of around 260,000 cubic metres of materials during construction, the relocation of approximately 4,500 trees and the replanting of around 4,300 of them after completion.
The resort also includes a 1.4 MWp solar photovoltaic system and heat-pump technology for heating, cooling and hot water.
Ocean House Costa del Sol by Grupotel also opened in April 2026. Located on Playa de la Carihuela in Torremolinos, Spain, the hotel offers 373 suites and features a roof terrace with an exclusive bar and pool for premium-room guests.
Its food and beverage offer includes an international buffet restaurant using mainly seasonal and regional ingredients, as well as Oh Beach, which serves Andalusian specialities.
TUI Blue Yaramar joined the portfolio on 1 May 2026 as an adults-only hotel in Fuengirola, Spain.
The 224-room property is located on the Costa del Sol beachfront promenade and includes an ocean-view pool, two restaurants, three bars, a gym with group fitness classes and an entertainment programme featuring live music and themed evenings.
TUI Blue Paro Taktsang opened in Bhutan on 16 May 2026, marking TUI Hotels & Resorts’ entry into the country.
Inspired by traditional Bhutanese architecture, the upscale resort in Paro offers 34 Junior Suites and Suites, wellness facilities, regional dining and TUI Blue Experiences designed around the surrounding destination and cultural landmarks, including Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
In the Caribbean, Royalton Vessence Barbados opened on 1 June 2026 on the island’s Platinum Coast.
The newly built, all-inclusive beachfront resort includes 220 suites, a range of restaurants and bars, rooftop venues, a café and pastry shop, The Royal Spa, Moddo Fitness by Royalton FIT and several swimming pools.
TUI Blue Maviss opened on 12 June 2026 in Belek on Türkiye’s southern Mediterranean coast.
The 505-room, family-oriented resort offers three à la carte restaurants, swim-up rooms, a TUI Kids Club, direct beach access and opportunities to visit nearby thermal bath experiences.
TUI Blue Yangtze Shanghai joined the portfolio on 15 June 2026 in a historic building near People’s Square.
The 103-room hotel is located close to attractions including Nanjing Pedestrian Road and Yuyuan Garden and includes two restaurants serving Cantonese, Shanghainese and Japanese cuisine.
TUI said the new openings and planned developments demonstrate the breadth of its hotel portfolio, with expansion across resort, city, family, premium, value-focused and experience-led travel segments.
