(NEWS) AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, 2026-Sep-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Travellers planning Mediterranean and Atlantic breaks for summer 2027 will have a wider set of Transavia options from Amsterdam and Brussels, as the airline adds regional destinations in Spain and Croatia, restores selected routes and shifts part of its network between Dutch airports.
In its latest summer 2027 network update, Transavia said the season will ultimately span 87 destinations across 162 routes. The remaining capacity is due to go on sale on September 16 through the airline’s booking channels, completing a sales process that began earlier in the year.
Amsterdam gains Murcia and Pula while Reus returns
The clearest expansion is at Amsterdam, where Murcia and Pula are being added to the schedule. Reus is returning, broadening Transavia’s Spanish offering with another regional market.
Pula will be offered from Amsterdam alongside the airline’s existing Rotterdam option. Trieste, meanwhile, is moving from Rotterdam to Amsterdam for summer 2027. Transavia said demand for the northern Italian destination is stronger from Amsterdam among both outbound and inbound passengers.
The move represents a change in airport rather than a completely new destination for the airline. Transavia introduced the Rotterdam–Trieste service in April 2025; for summer 2027, the destination will instead be served from Amsterdam.
Olga Rijk, Transavia’s Lead Network & Resource Planning, said the summer programme is intended to give passengers a broader mix of holiday and visiting-friends-and-relatives options, with the airline concentrating additional capacity in established leisure countries such as Spain, Italy and Croatia while also adding regional markets.
Brussels network grows across Greece, the Azores and Portugal
Transavia is also extending its Brussels operation. Heraklion and Thessaloniki are returning to the Belgian schedule, while Ponta Delgada in the Azores is being introduced as a new Brussels destination.
Porto will continue into the summer at four flights a week, turning the route into a year-round service. Transavia had previously announced that Brussels–Porto would launch on December 14, 2026 with three weekly flights during the winter season.
The additions continue a broader build-up in Belgium. In an August 2026 network update, Transavia said it had operated from Brussels Airport since 2022 and had established a local crew base there in 2026. For passengers in Belgium and the southern Netherlands, the enlarged schedule adds more direct leisure options without requiring a departure from Amsterdam.
Eindhoven closure shifts part of the network across the border
The 2027 programme is also being shaped by the temporary shutdown of Eindhoven Airport. The airport says commercial flight operations will be suspended from February 1 through July 18, 2027 because its only runway is undergoing a complete reconstruction. Flights are scheduled to resume from July 19.
During that period, Transavia plans to operate a large part of its usual Eindhoven programme from Maastricht Aachen Airport in the Netherlands and Weeze Airport in Germany. The arrangement is intended to preserve a substantial range of services for travellers in the southeast of the Netherlands while Eindhoven is unavailable. The airport provides further details on the temporary runway closure and passenger arrangements.
The closure creates an unusual planning factor for the first half of the 2027 summer season: passengers who would normally use Eindhoven may instead find their Transavia flight departing from Maastricht or Weeze until the airport reopens.
Remaining summer capacity goes on sale September 16
Transavia began selling part of its summer 2027 programme in June, when an initial sales phase released roughly half of its planned capacity across more than 30 routes in Europe and North Africa. That first phase already included flights from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven and Brussels, as well as temporary operations from Maastricht and Weeze during the Eindhoven closure.
The September 16 release completes the next stage of that schedule. With 87 destinations and 162 routes planned, the programme combines new city pairs, returning destinations and airport shifts rather than relying on expansion from a single base. For travellers, the most visible changes will be the extra regional choices from Amsterdam, the growing Brussels network and the temporary redistribution of Eindhoven flying during the runway works.
