The Global Business Travel Association announces two regional vice president appointments: Catherine McGavock and Kevin Maguire

Hank Roeder, Vice President of Global Operations to Retire

Alexandria, VA, 2015-5-28 — /Travel PR News/ — The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – today announced two regional vice president appointments: Catherine McGavock and Kevin Maguire.

Catherine McGavock has been promoted to Regional Vice President – EMEA. McGavock’s contributions over the years for GBTA as Regional Director has helped establish and solidify GBTA as a force in the EMEA region. In her new role, McGavock will continue to lead GBTA in this region, establishing new and unique partnerships that will drive GBTA growth in the EMEA region.

Kevin Maguire recently joined GBTA as Regional Vice President – Latin America. Maguire’s decades of experience in the travel industry and intimate knowledge of the Latin America region makes him the ideal fit for this role. As a GBTA volunteer leader, Maguire was integral to GBTA’s expansion into Latin America and has been vital in our education efforts in the region. Maguire most recently managed global travel for HGST, Inc., and prior to that, he managed travel for intercollegiate athletics at The University of Texas at Austin.

Maguire fills this position in the wake of the announcement at GBTA Convention 2014 that Hank Roeder, vice president of global operations for GBTA, will retire at the conclusion of GBTA Convention 2015. Roeder’s dedication and efforts over 23 years to help shape this Association into what it is today are immeasurable. Hank has worked diligently in recent years helping put the “G” in GBTA and has been a leader in GBTA’s efforts in Latin America.

“With Catherine’s promotion and the addition of Kevin, I am excited about the future of GBTA in EMEA and LATAM as we continue to increase our presence and grow our offerings in those regions,” said Michael W. McCormick GBTA executive director and COO. “GBTA will truly miss having Hank as a part of our staff, and he has left an impact on our Association that will last for years and years to come.”
