(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 2025-May-16 — /Travel PR News/ — The Charles, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Munich, has revealed an exquisite new look following the completion of an extensive ground floor renovation. The redesign, a collaboration between renowned designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, alongside Olga Polizzi, introduces a sophisticated colour palette and botanical-inspired themes that seamlessly integrate the lobby, Florio Restaurant and Bar, and the newly introduced Circle Bar.
The hotel’s new lobby is a showpiece of grandeur, with a striking central table framed by luxurious floral arrangements and elegant statues. A stunning plasterwork by French artist François Mascarello, which adorns the reception’s back wall, adds an extra layer of refinement, enhancing the space’s welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.
Florio Restaurant & Bar
Florio, the stylish restaurant at The Charles, takes inspiration from Munich’s nearby Old Botanical Garden. The space exudes a serene charm with moss-green linen wallpaper, silvery olive trees, and framed artwork that brings the beauty of plants and fruit to life. Natural light floods the room, enhancing the tranquil ambience.
Joining the restaurant, the newly opened Florio Bar continues the botanical theme with striking rainforest green marble at the reception counter, flanked by two large strelitzia plants and newly upholstered green seating. The bar itself features Indian Rainforest Gold marble and wood-clad columns, creating a refined setting ideal for enjoying a selection of aperitivos, premium spirits, and an extensive wine list.
Just steps from the restaurant, the newly introduced Private Dining Room offers an intimate space with parquet flooring in warm brown tones and beautiful floral murals. In the morning, the room hosts a sumptuous breakfast buffet, and in the evening, it transforms into a private dining venue for intimate gatherings and exclusive events.
The terrace, a 200-square-meter space designed to be a peaceful oasis, continues the hotel’s botanical theme. Perfect for warm summer days, guests can unwind under large parasols, and as evening falls, illuminated floor lanterns create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The soft green wrought iron furniture is complemented by cushions in an array of fabrics and patterns, fostering a serene environment. Additionally, two elegant light sculptures by Haberdashery, featuring 258 porcelain leaves with precious metal accents, create a whimsical visual effect as they hang delicately from fine strands.
Circle Bar
Circle Bar, named for its distinctive circular shape and the red steel ring artwork by Mauro Staccioli outside the hotel, provides a chic Art Deco-inspired space for guests to relax. The bar serves a variety of champagnes, small snacks, and afternoon patisserie, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel’s elegant setting.
