The Academy Of Nutrition And Dietetics’ 2012 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo Convenes In Philadelphia

2012-10-1 — /travelprnews.com/ — WHAT: The world’s largest annual meeting of food and nutrition professionals, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ (AND) 2012 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE), will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC) from October 6 to 9.

FNCE attracts more than 8,000 registered dietitians, nutrition science researchers, policy makers, healthcare providers and industry leaders for four days of cutting-edge nutrition science research, panel discussions, culinary demonstrations, exhibits and presentations.

Local components of the conference include an excursion to Kennett Square, PA, known as the “Mushroom Capital of the World,” a culinary tour exploring Philadelphia’s diverse ethnic restaurant and market scene and a tour of the Philadelphia Urban Food & Fitness Alliance (PUFFA) partner organizations – an urban farm, an entrepreneurial community center and a food distribution warehouse – which all work to increase access to healthy food in Philadelphia neighborhoods.
