Swissport awarded several ISAGO certificates for different stations across its global network

Opfikon, Switzerland, 2017-Jul-06 — /Travel PR News/ — The IATA Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) is the premier annual ground handling industry conference in the world. At this year’s edition, Swissport was handed over several ISAGO certificates for different stations across Swissport’s global network. Commercial representatives of the respective regions proudly received these certificates on behalf of the awarded Swissport stations.

Alexandre Bolay, Vice President Global Quality, Health & Safety is pleased: “Receiving these ISAGO certificates is reassuring for us to be on the right track towards an even safer work environment for our employees and customers’ aircraft. We are very proud of our established “Swissport Formula” that integrates a robust QHSE management system which is recognized by ISAGO and IGOM. Next to our own regular audits, the ones from customers and official bodies such as IATA proof us that our investments in QHSE are beneficial to all stakeholders.”

Procedures detailed within the IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM) are considered best and safest practices within the industry. They serve Swissport as guiding principles when delivering technical training to its more than 62’000 staff. This tireless commitment has been rewarded by Joseph Suidan, Head of Ground Operation of IATA’s Airport, Passenger, Cargo and Security division at the 2017 IGHC.

Matthias Huettner, Senior Vice President Global Operations at Swissport commented: “It is rewarding and a great pleasure to receive such recognition as we at Swissport truly believe that standardization and harmonization in line with best practices developed by a group of global industry experts help us to deliver efficient and safest possible services to our more than 800 customers.”
