Sheremetyevo Airport welcomes the first Italian low-cost carrier Air One

2013-04-30 — /travelprnews.com/ — Air One, a company forming part of Alitalia Group, establishes new routes from Sheremetyevo Airport to Italy — Catania (Sicily) and Pisa (Tuscany). The flights will operate from Terminal C.

From 27-th of April 2013 Air One will perform flights from Sheremetyevo to Catania twice per week — on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights to Pisa will carry out from 25-th of May on Wednesdays and Sundays. All the flights will be operated on the modern and comfortable aircrafts Airbus A-320 equipped with 180 seats.

A one-way ticket price will start from 29 to 200 Euro. It means that more Russian tourists are permitted to visit the cities of one of the most beautiful European country.

Besides Moscow Air One is intending to perform the flights to Saint Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don and Samara according the summer schedule 2013.

Air One — the first low-cost carrier in Italy, a company forming part of Alitalia Group. The total passenger traffic in 2012 was 2,000,000 people (17,366 flights). In 2013 the passenger traffic will increase by 2,400,000 people (19,354 flights). Currently, the Air One fleet consists of 9 Airbus A320.

Air One’s transit hubs are the airports in Milan, Pisa and Catania. Today, the air carrier performs 458 flights per week serving 31 destinations: 16 within Italy and 15 outside its national territory.

According to 2012 results, Sheremetyevo Airport passenger traffic amounted to 26 million 188 thousand people, which is 16.1% more than in 2011.
