Wine dinner, breakfast treats and pasta specials

Mumbai, India – 2012-09-04 — /travelprnews.com/ — This September, Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai offers guests an epicurean wine dinner crafted specially by its Executive Chef, and invites everyone to wash away those monsoon blues with renditions of the classic Eggs Benedict breakfast, and enjoy a slice of Italy with the delectable pasta al forno.

All Day Eggs Ben-addiction

Start the day at any time with an indulgent petit déjeuner. Two English muffin halves, topped with ham or bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, makes for an all day breakfast delight.

Dating back to the 1860s, this scrumptious dish is represented at café PRATO with the classic and modern day variations that include Benedict à la Madras (idli, sambhar, coriander and chat masalahollandaise) and Eggs Maryland (poached eggs, crabcake). Some say eggs prepared benedict style also makes for a great hangover cure!

  • Every weekend in September 2012, 7:00 am onwards
  • All Day menu available at café PRATO. For reservations call 91 (22) 2481 8222 or email cafeprato.mumbai@fourseasons.com

Pasta Al Forno

“If you have a streak of anarchy or just a healthy bit of playfulness, you will be happy to discover the joys of pasta al forno, or oven-baked pasta. Though much of Italian cuisine brings with it traditions and methods going back hundreds of years, there are really no rules around pasta al forno.” – Piergiorgio and Amy Nicoletti.

The talented chefs at café PRATO fuss over the seven criteria for making the perfect pasta and put together a hearty dish for guests to devour. While they look after the minutest detail, guests can bask in the comforts of homemade, rustic varieties of baked pasta –lasagne alla Genovese and cannelloni of broccoli and pecorino romano. Pair with exclusive Italian wines by the glass. Bellisimo!

Wine Dinner

In the heart of the Gigondas appellation, the Château de Saint Cosme is an exceptional estate. With its Gallo-Roman fermentation vats perfectly preserved, this historical site gives a good idea how their ancestors were living. Since 1490, the property has been in the same family of vignerons for 14 generations.

The wines are made to express their terroir with purity and personality, and balanced with a great ability to age. Experienced winemaker Joelle Marty Javelle takes guests through five of their best labels along with a culinary journey designed by Executive Chef Clinton Cooper of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. Great wine and fine food is the agenda for the evening.
