The Temazcal is a small domed structure built to hold in the warmth of hot stones that have been heated in an exterior fire and then placed in a central pit in the ground. The steam, produced by water infused with herbs, is a fusion of the virgin energy of volcanic rock designed to purify, cure, revitalize and balance.
