Sebastian Mikosz took the helm of LOT Polish Airlines

Warsaw, 2013-02-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — Today, the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines has decided to appoint to the position of CEO – Sebastian Mikosz.

It is a great satisfaction and responsibility that the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines has given me a credit and entrusted me the management of the company. I’m ready to take on this challenge and to fully devote myself to a new phase of the restructuring process of the Polish carrier – says Sebastian Mikosz, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. In the nearest future I intend to familiarize with the ongoing restructuring process within the company, therefore I need a few days. I strongly believe that soon I will be able to present the new direction of changes in our Company to publicity, to our business partners and first of all to our passengers – adds Sebastian Mikosz.

Sebastian Mikosz is a manager with expertise in business consulting and management.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (with majors in economics and finance) and has completed several business management courses and training programmes.

After graduation he worked for Arthur Andersen in Paris where he specialised in investments in the emerging markets.

In 2000, after he came back to Poland, he worked on establishing the first independent online brokerage house in Poland. In 2001 he took the position of the General Director of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland.

In June 2003 he was appointed as Vice President of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency. There, he supervised the Departments of Investor Assistance, Regional Cooperation and Research and Analysis. He conducted negotiations with the largest foreign investors in Poland such as LG Philips, MAN, Whirlpool or Michelin. Next he worked as Managing Director at the Warsaw office of Amrop Hever, a HR consultancy company.

In February 2011, he took a position of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking advisor in Poland, that he was holding until now.

He is a fluent speaker of French and English. He is married and has three sons. His passion is aviation.
