Ryanair Calls On Youtube To Donate Advertising Revenue From 2013 Cabin Crew Charity Calendar Video To Tvn

ALMOST 350,000 VIEWS SEES YOUTUBE CASHING IN

2012-11-09 — /travelprnews.com/ — Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra-low cost airline, today (8 Nov) called on YouTube to donate all advertising revenues generated from the popularity of Ryanair’s behind-the-scenes video of its 2013 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar photoshoot to the TVN Foundation in Warsaw.

After the phenomenal success of the video, which has now been viewed almost 350,000 times, YouTube placed 30 second adverts at the start of each view and Ryanair believes this revenue should be donated to its charity partner.

Ryanair’s Cabin Crew Calendar stars are well on the way to increasing the total raised for charity since 2008 to over €600,000, with some 3,500 of its 2013 edition already sold. The remaining 6,500 copies of the calendar are available onboard all Ryanair aircraft and online at www.ryanair.com for just €10, with all proceeds going to the TVN Foundation in Warsaw, Poland, who are raising funds to help children suffering from cystic fibrosis.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:

“Due to the huge number of views on the ‘Making of the 2013 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar’ YouTube has now cashed in its popularity. We are calling on YouTube to donate any advertising revenues earned from the video to TVN Foundation, so that even more money can be raised to help children living with cystic fibrosis.

We encourage everyone to buy one of the remaining 6,500 calendars for themselves so that they have something to brighten up every day in 2013 and to help Ryanair’s cabin crew achieve their goal of raising over €600,000 for charity in just six years.”
