RDU Airport: Allegiant adds nonstop service from RDU to San Juan, Puerto Rico

Morrisville, NC, 2017-Jun-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Triangle travelers – pack your bags for a Caribbean holiday! Allegiant is launching nonstop service from RDU to San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 15, 2017 with introductory fares starting at $64 one way. This is RDU’s first nonstop service to Puerto Rico. Allegiant made the announcement today during an event at RDU.

The flight will operate Mondays and Fridays using Airbus 320 aircraft with 180 seats. The flight departs RDU at 9:10 a.m. and arrives in San Juan at 1:40 p.m. local time. The return flight departs San Juan midday and returns to RDU just after 3 p.m.

“San Juan has long been one of our top 3 unserved nonstop destinations,” said Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority President and CEO Michael Landguth. “This nonstop service to San Juan will provide our region with access to one of the top travel destinations in the Caribbean.”

In addition, Allegiant announced nonstop service from RDU to Cincinnati (CVG) beginning November 15 with introductory fares starting at $39. This new flight will complement existing RDU to CVG nonstop service offered by Delta Air Lines. Allegiant flights will operate Sundays and Thursdays using Airbus 320 aircraft with 180 seats.
