TORONTO, 2014-7-16 — /Travel PR News/ — Porter Airlines was chosen as North America’s Best Regional Airline in the 2014 Skytrax World Airline Awards. This is the first year for Skytrax to recognize the category of North American Regional Airline.
Each year, travellers from over 160 countries take part in the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey to select the award winners. This year’s presentation ceremony was held at the Farnborough International Airshow, in the United Kingdom.

Porter sets itself above the competition by emphasizing service, and providing complimentary amenities, including lounge access, beer, wine and food for all passengers.

Porter is proposing to connect its existing network via conveniently-located Toronto City Airport to destinations across North America, beginning in 2016. Official approvals are pending.
In 2013, Porter received Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Award for Top Small Airline in the world. The airline is also one of four in North America to qualify for Skytrax’s 4-Star Rating, which recognizes airlines that deliver overall quality performance.
