PATA and PTBA to organise Bloggers’ Forum as part of PATA Travel Mart 2016 in Banten Province, Indonesia on September 7-9

BANGKOK, 2016-Jun-09 — /Travel PR News/ — PATA Travel Mart 2016 (PTM 2016) is to feature a Bloggers’ Forum on September 7. The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is joining forces with the Professional Travel Bloggers Association (PTBA) to organise the Forum as part of PATA’s signature travel trade event which this year takes place in Banten Province, Indonesia on September 7-9. PTM 2016 is hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Republic of Indonesia in partnership with Banten Province and the PATA Indonesia Chapter.

The Bloggers Forum, titled ‘Navigating the online world of the influencer’ provides an overview of influencer marketing works and also features case studies from successful influencer campaigns.

“The landscape for social media marketing is constantly in flux and organisations need to make sure they are up to date with the latest strategies in order to have the most robust and successful digital marketing plan,” said PATA CEO Mario Hardy. “Delegates will have the opportunity to learn how to navigate this digital space and connect with PTBA certified bloggers during PATA Travel Mart 2016.”

PTBA President Matt Gibson added, “More and more studies have been highlighting the exceptional value that influencer marketing creates for companies, especially in the travel industry. I’m excited to share the latest influencer marketing trends and strategies with PATA Travel Mart attendees during our educational sessions and help them to connect and collaborate with our professional influencer members that will be in attendance.”

In addition to the Bloggers Forum, PATA will work with the PTBA to encourage buyers, sellers and PTM 2016 delegates to connect with leading industry travel bloggers in the Bloggers Lounge throughout the event. Bloggers attending PTM 2016 will have the opportunity to experience Banten Province, the westernmost province of Indonesia’s island of Java, with its rich cultural heritage and pristine natural resources.

For 38 years, PATA Travel Mart has offered a dynamic programme and platform to showcase travel products and services, bringing together many hundreds of international industry buyers and sellers. The Bloggers Forum and the PATA Travel Innovation Forum together complement the Digital Hub exhibition platform at this year’s PTM in Greater Jakarta. The exhibition area will showcase innovative technology currently impacting the travel and tourism industry, providing online, tech and digital marketing companies the opportunity to boost brand awareness while contracting directly with relevant businesses and organisations.

There is no registration fee to attend the Bloggers Forum and the PATA Travel Innovation Forum for buyers, sellers and media delegates registered for PATA Travel Mart 2016 and those registered for the PATA Board and Committee Meetings.
