Passion and dedication paved the way for Yasmine El Gawhary to lead a team of 285 staff across key guest-contact departments
Cairo at Nile Plaza, Egypt, 2012-09-04 — /travelprnews.com/ — Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announces the promotion of Yasmine El Gawhary to the position of Director of Rooms, Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, Egypt.
In her new role, El Gawhary will lead a team of 285 staff and oversee the activities of key guest-facing departments such as the Concierge, Guest Services, Valet Parking, Front Desk, Guest Relations, Reservations, Housekeeping, Spa, Business Centre and Retail outlets to ensure they live up to the exemplary service standards synonymous with Four Seasons.
El Gawhary has served at the Cairo property for close to eight years and was also a part of the task force involved in training the Front Office staff at the much anticipated Four Seasons property in Beirut, in addition to assisting across several departments at Four SeasonsHotel London at Canary Wharf.
Commenting on El Gawhary’s appointment, Olivier Masson, regional vice president, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts said: “Yasmine started her career with Nile Plaza during its opening in 2004 as Administrative Assistant, and her great passion and endless dedication to her job and the Hotel earned her many promotions in the Rooms Division – from Assistant Front Desk Manager, Front Desk Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Front Office Manager to Assistant Director of Rooms. Her eagerness to handle more responsibility and roles led her to participate in many task force assignments in London and Beirut, where she did a fantastic job and made us all proud. Yasmine has always been a great example of booming energy, professionalism and enthusiasm, indeed a true Four Seasons person.”
The Egyptian-American national has proved an inspiration to her peers within the company and the hospitality industry in Cairo, achieving a tremendous reputation for industriousness at a very young age in an industry and marketplace that is still considered to be largely male dominated. A graduate of the American University in Cairo and an active member of the Hotel’s planning committee, El Gawhary speaks three languages – something that has definitely come in handy over the years in managing a multi-cultural team and guest profile.
