Nebraska Tourism’s Nebraska Nice FanFest in the Railyard on September 12

LINCOLN, Neb., 2015-9-10 — /Travel PR News/ — Fans and visitors alike are invited to attend Nebraska Tourism’s Nebraska Nice FanFest in the Railyard from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on September 12. Attendees will get to see live Nebraska based bands along with the Big Ten Network broadcasting live from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the Husker Sports pregame radio show broadcasting live from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  After the festival, the Husker football game will be playing on the cube. The event is designed to showcase the fun, friendly atmosphere of a Husker game day in Lincoln including how welcoming Husker Fans are to visiting teams.

Nebraska Tourism Director, Kathy McKillip commented, “We are very excited about this event. We are fortunate to have such strong partners with the Lincoln CVB, Big Ten Network, the Railyard and our industry Husker Fans. Fans will get to witness live television interviews with former athletes and special guests that will be broadcast on the cube, as well as experience some great live music. We will be releasing our new millennial adventure videos on the Cube and promoting Nebraska attractions though giveaways such as tickets to that evening’s game, Husker gear and BTN gear. Fans watching from home can enjoy watching the live interviews on Big Ten Network, as Nebraska Tourism will be the Presenting Sponsorship of the BTN Primetime Kickoff Show or by listening to the Husker Sports pre-game show. It’s all about celebrating the passionate fans of Nebraska – it doesn’t get much nicer than this and our fans are well known for being Nebraska Nice.”

Nebraska Nice FanFest Details

When: Saturday, September 12th

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the Husker football game being televised on the Cube afterwards

Where: Railyard and Canopy Street

Entertainment: various bands/musical guests, DJ, Big Ten Network, former Husker football players, giveaways, booths, and more

Hosts: Nebraska Tourism Commission, Husker Sports Network, Big Ten Network, The Railyard and the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau.

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Emmett Bower Band

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Funk Trek

2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Lemon Fresh Day

4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.: AZP

5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.: Rachel Price – Price is a Nebraska Native who rose to social media fame with her song and viral video for Little Nebraska Town. Price is currently recording new music in Nashville but comes back to perform in her home state every chance she gets.

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Big Ten Network broadcast – Includes interviews with former players Barrett Ruud, Matt Davison and Johnny Rogers.

2:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m.: Husker Sport Network live broadcast of their pre-game show

5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: The Bottom Line with Mike’l Severe broadcasts
