Napa Valley, U.S.A., 2018-Aug-13 — /Travel PR News/ — Thirty-year Four Seasons veteran Mehdi Eftekari will lead the team at the new Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley, anticipated to open in 2019.  Well known to many Four Seasons guests on both US coasts, he was most recently General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel New York, and prior to that, spent many years as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.

“One might say that Mehdi is of a certain vintage, one of our most senior hotel executives and the ideal candidate to introduce an entirely new Four Seasons experience to our discerning guests,” says Vince Parrotta, President – Hotel Operations, Americas, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Eftekari began his Four Seasons career in 1988 as Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons in Los Angeles before advancing to Hotel Manager then General Manager at the company’s former address in Newport Beach.  He returned to Beverly Hills in 2004, tapping his food and beverage experience as the Hotel introduced its highly successful Italian dining concept Culina, followed by the transformation of the entertainment industry favourite Windows Lounge.  In 2015 he moved to Manhattan, taking the helm at Four Seasons Hotel New York before accepting his current appointment as opening General Manager in Napa Valley.

“I’ve always looked for great and unique opportunities,” he says. “When I saw this project on the map, I jumped on it.”

Now enjoying the fresh air and natural beauty that surrounds the resort and winery, Eftekari is embracing small town life, noting that Calistoga, home to the new Four Seasons, has just a single street, one stoplight, two stop signs, and a totally different mindset.

“Becoming part of the local community is very important to us at Four Seasons,” he says, looking forward to adding a new title to his resume in the form of shop proprietor.  “We’re especially excited about sharing the bounty of the land with resort guests and locals at our food and beverage outlets, and a roadside general store and tasting room that we are creating, where we plan to offer delicious food as well as wine tastings and other events that connect with the vibrant spirit of Napa Valley.”

With Napa Valley long considered one of America’s most romantic destinations, the new Four Seasons is creating a haven for couples that includes in-room fireplaces and private terraces, an adults only pool, numerous secret spots around the resort grounds, a lux spa, bicycle rentals and much more.

Families will also love the new Four Seasons, including the fully-supervised Kids for All Seasons program next to the family pool, plus babysitting services when parents want to enjoy a night on their own.  Adjoining rooms can be booked, and parents can travel light because a full array of baby and toddler gear is available upon request.

Event planners and wedding couples will delight in the breadth of event spaces available, including a full-size ballroom overlooking an idyllic pond that can accommodate up to 200 guests, a funky event barn and garden nestled amid the vineyards, and numerous private dining options including the Barrel Room, part of the on-site winery.
