Houston, TX, 2016-May-05 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Houston has announced the appointment of industry expert Maria McGinity as Director of Catering. McGinity will oversee catering sales and events operations for the luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown Houston.
McGinity joins the sales and marketing team with diverse background in the hospitality field. She began her career in restaurants, eventually earning her culinary degree in addition to a degree in catering and restaurant management.
Taking her skills to the professional world, McGinity worked as the director of catering in two of well-known Houston clubs, before her tenure of leading the food and beverage team of Reliant Stadium through the opening season of the Houston Texans, Super Bowl XXXVIII and other various grand scale events.
From there, she joined River Oaks Country Club where she served a community of more than 1,500 members. This job eventually led her to the Super Bowl Host Committee as the director of hospitality in helping Houston plan for Super Bowl LI in 2017.
McGinity has a close-knit family in Houston, where she balances life with Patrick, her husband of 15 years, and their 12-year-old son Colin. On their spare time, they travel to Texas coast where they fish and relax together as a family.
