HONG KONG, 2015-6-12 — /Travel PR News/ — On Sunday, June 7, 2015, Marco Polo Shenzhen Hotel hosted ‘Our Ocean We Protect’ Beachside Trash Collecting Event in Da Mei Sha, Shenzhen. Hotel’s 30 volunteers with their kids joined this event to help remove trash as much as possible before it reaches the ocean. Every year, Marco Polo Shenzhen Hotel Volunteers come together to create awareness about debris left on our beaches.
Piccolo Kids’ Club’s animals also play an active role during this Environment Day. They prepared four trash bins with four different categories, including Waste Paper, Plastic, Glass, and Scrap Metal aiming at informing people and more specifically educating kids on the natural environment as well as the need to protect the ocean. Kids are also having lots of fun in sand play on the beach after trash collection. Octopus, shark, crab, sea-gull…this fun game made environmental education fun, creative and memorable. Every kid received a surprise after, such as coloring books, stickers, or badges from Piccolo Kids Club.
The ocean is a vital component to our daily lives and we believe that we have a great responsibility to protect it. Through fun and interactive method, we brought awareness to our associates and kids about the effects of paper, plastic, glass, and scrap metal to the earth, and how every person can help to improve the earth’s health for the future.
