Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel’s Cucina Celebrates Italy’s Comforting Classics With New Seasonal Menu

(NEWS) HONG KONG, SAR, China, 2026-Aug-21 — /Travel PR News/ — Cucina at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel is turning to the familiar pleasures of regional Italian cooking with a limited-time Italian Classics menu curated by Chef de Cuisine Andrea Delzanno.

Available from 25 August to 5 November 2026, the menu brings together six dishes inspired by some of Italy’s best-known culinary regions, including Veneto, Campania, Lazio and Lombardy.

Based on official press update shared by Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, the menu is designed to highlight the comforting flavours and traditional techniques that continue to define Italian home-style dining. Rather than focusing on experimental cooking, the selection looks back to dishes associated with family tables, regional kitchens and long-standing Italian food culture.

Among the highlights is beef tenderloin carpaccio with 1963 Venetian dressing, priced at HK$288. The dish takes inspiration from the original beef carpaccio recipe that became famous in Venice, offering a refined start to the menu.

From Campania, Cucina presents a classic caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes and basil, priced at HK$298. Simple in structure but dependent on ingredient quality, the dish reflects the enduring appeal of southern Italian freshness.

One of the heartier dishes is veal ossobuco with Milanese-style saffron risotto and lemon gremolata, priced at HK$468. The Milanese speciality features veal shank slow-braised for three hours with tomatoes, white wine and herbs, served with one of northern Italy’s most recognisable risotto styles.

The menu also includes vaccinara-style mezze maniche with oxtail and pecorino Romano at HK$358, bringing a Roman influence to the table. Spaghetti alla chitarra with sautéed clams, garlic, chilli and white wine, also priced at HK$358, adds a coastal note, while veal saltimbocca with Parma ham, sage and marsala sauce is offered at HK$438.

Chef Andrea Delzanno said the menu was inspired by regular guests who told him they missed the hearty, comforting flavours of traditional Italian home cooking. He said the idea was to honour Italy’s culinary soul while allowing diners to rediscover classic dishes in a contemporary setting overlooking Victoria Harbour.

That harbourfront setting is part of Cucina’s appeal. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, the restaurant combines Italian dining with open-kitchen theatre, a stylish bar and views across one of Hong Kong’s most recognisable waterfronts.

Cucina has been recognised by Forbes Travel Guide since 2020 and is positioned as one of Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel’s key dining venues. Its latest menu gives guests a seasonal reason to return, particularly those looking for dishes that feel generous, familiar and rooted in tradition.

The Italian Classics menu also fits into a broader dining trend in which luxury hotel restaurants are revisiting heritage recipes rather than only presenting highly modern interpretations. For many diners, especially in a city with a sophisticated restaurant scene, comfort and authenticity can carry as much appeal as novelty.

Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel sits within Harbour City, close to the Star Ferry, MTR links and major shopping and cultural attractions. The hotel features 585 guestrooms and suites, several dining venues, event spaces and views over Victoria Harbour.

For Cucina, the limited-time menu offers a straightforward invitation: to enjoy Italian regional classics prepared with polish, served against one of Hong Kong’s most familiar urban backdrops.
