Luxury Hospitality Veteran Christian Wildhaber Appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Geneva

Wildhaber brings nearly three decades of experience in luxury hospitality to the Geneva property.

He joins Mandarin Oriental, Geneva after leading Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, a role he has held since August 2025.

A native of Vevey, Switzerland, Wildhaber is fully trilingual, speaking fluent French, English and German.

His international background and language skills are expected to support Mandarin Oriental, Geneva’s service to a cosmopolitan and multicultural clientele.

Wildhaber has built his hospitality career across Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.

He has held senior roles in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Sydney and Guangzhou, developing recognised expertise in hotel operations, openings, repositioning projects and the transformation of prestigious properties.

Before joining Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta, Wildhaber served as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern.

In that role, he successfully led the hotel’s transformation, opening and launch, helping establish the property as one of Switzerland’s leading luxury hotels.

Deeply connected to his Swiss roots, Wildhaber said he is pleased to return to Switzerland and join the team at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva.
