(NEWS) WARSAW, Poland, 2026-Aug-20 — /Travel PR News/ — LOT Polish Airlines is adding a new direct connection between Gdansk and Paris-Orly, strengthening its regional network and giving travellers in northern Poland a year-round link to the French capital.
The new route is scheduled to launch on 5 April 2027 and will operate four times a week, with flights available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
As outlined in the LOT Polish Airlines’ press release, departures from Gdansk will be scheduled for 5:00 p.m., while return flights from Paris-Orly will depart at 8:20 p.m. The flight time will be approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The launch comes in a symbolic year for the airline’s France operations. LOT is marking the 80th anniversary of its first direct Warsaw–Paris flight, which took place on 4 July 1946. By adding Gdansk to Paris-Orly, the airline is extending that long-standing Polish-French aviation connection beyond Warsaw and into the regional market.
The route will also replace LOT’s Gdansk–Oslo connection as part of the carrier’s network optimisation process.
For passengers in Gdansk and the wider Pomerania region, the new service opens a direct route to one of Europe’s most important business, cultural and leisure destinations. Paris remains a major draw for travellers because of its museums, architecture, gastronomy, historic neighbourhoods and international business links.

He said the new direct flight from Gdansk strengthens LOT’s regional offer and creates new opportunities between Pomerania and France.
The choice of Paris-Orly Airport adds a practical advantage for many travellers. Located around 13 kilometres south of central Paris, Orly is closer to the city centre than Paris Charles de Gaulle and is directly connected to the public transport network.
Passengers can use metro line 14 to reach central Paris in around 25 to 30 minutes, with connections to major transport points including Gare de Lyon and Châtelet-Les Halles. The airport is also served by tram line T7 and bus routes.
For leisure travellers, the new route makes it easier to plan short city breaks, cultural weekends and longer stays in the French capital. Paris offers the familiar landmarks — the Seine, Montmartre, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Le Marais and major museums — but also quieter neighbourhoods, local markets, galleries and restaurants that reward slower exploration.
