Jet Airways introduces new flights to and from Indore connecting the city to 14 destinations across its domestic network

  • Increases flights by 20% to strengthen presence

Indore, India, 2018-Sep-04 — /Travel PR News/ — Jet Airways, India’s premier full-service international airline, is introducing a slew of new flights to and from Indore connecting the city to 14 destinations across the airline’s domestic network. In a series of industry-firsts, Jet Airways will introduce daily flights from Indore, connecting the ‘largest city in Madhya Pradesh’ to Jodhpur as well as to Vadodara. With the launch of these flights, Jet Airways will introduce a total of 30 weekly services, taking the number of flights flying into and out of Indore to 206 a week.

Jet Airways is focusing on catering to the demand from emerging cities and has introduced multiple connectivity options for the benefit of Small and Medium Enterprises, Corporate travelers and guests visiting friends and relatives. Indore is fast shaping up as a key pillar in the airline’s pan-India network due to its central location and fast growing infrastructure. In fact, Jet Airways will be the only airline to provide nonstop connectivity from Indore to a host of emerging markets and mini metros such as Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Vadodara, Jodhpur, Allahabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Pune. Jet Airways will also provide non-stop connectivity from Indore to metros such as Kolkata and Hyderabad as well as its hubs in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru channelising network traffic seamlessly to its international network. The airline’s latest service to Kolkata will finally link it to the main commercial and financial hub of East.

The airline’s new services such as Indore – Vadodara and Indore – Jodhpur will promote travel and stimulate business and economic activity in each of the cities, especially for the Small and Medium Enterprises located in and around Vadodara as well as Jodhpur. The flights from Indore will also enable Jet Airways’ guests to avail the airline’s day-return services to Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Nagpur. Further, guests from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata will now have additional connectivity to Jodhpur, Allahabad, Vadodara and vice versa via Indore.

Jet Airways will connect Indore to Jodhpur with a non-stop daily service, commencing September 1, 2018. On the same day, Jet Airways will also operate the first of its scheduled four services a week from Indore to Kolkata. A day later, the airline will commence operations between Indore and Vadodara. The service, which will also operate four times a week, will connect onwards to Jaipur.

Jet Airways flight 9W 709, will depart from Indore at 15:00 hrs (IST) and arrive at Jodhpur at 16:45 hrs (IST). From Jodhpur, flight 9W 710 will depart at 12:15 hrs (IST) and land at Indore at 13:55 hrs (IST).

Jet Airways flight 9W 156 will depart from Indore at 15:10 hrs (IST) and arrive into Kolkata at 17:25 hrs (IST). From Kolkata, non-stop flight 9W 155 will depart on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 10:35 hrs (IST) and arrive in Indore at 13:00 hrs (IST). On Saturdays, the flight will depart Kolkata at 12:10 hrs (IST) and arrive into Indore at 14:20 hrs (IST).

The Indore-Vadodara non-stop flight 9W137, which will begin operations September 2, 2018 will depart on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from Indore at 14:50 hrs (IST) and arrive into Vadodara at 16:05 hrs (IST). On its return, non-stop flight 9W 138 will depart from Vadodara at 12:50 hrs (IST) and arrive into Indore at 13:55 hrs (IST).

Other developments

Continuing its focus on growing its domestic presence, Jet Airways, India’s premier full-service international airline, is set to introduce 28 new flights in the coming month.

Being a network carrier, Jet Airways’ new services – including industry firsts as well as a mix of non-stop and one-stop flights – will strengthen the airline’s footprint, enabling it to meet the rising demand for domestic and international air travel in emerging cities. The new services will also help connect guests with other cities including metros as well as the airline’s global network via its hubs in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

In notable firsts, Jet Airways is set to commence flight operations between Chandigarh and Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Jodhpur as well as Vadodara and Jaipur. Jet Airways will be the only airline in the country operating these routes which will improve connectivity between north India and central as well as western India.

The airline is also introducing additional frequencies on key existing routes, expanding non-stop capacity between Mumbai – Guwahati and Delhi – Bagdogra and providing additional one-stop connectivity on the Mumbai – Bagdogra and New Delhi – Guwahati routes.

Among other network enhancements, the schedule will see Jet Airways launch non-stop flights connecting Bengaluru with Lucknow, Indore with Kolkata, Kolkata with Chandigarh, Coimbatore with Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam with Mumbai and Delhi, reflecting the growing demand for its services to facilitate the travel aspirations of its guests.
