One-time nonstop service to Indy from Birmingham, Huntsville and Savannah

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, 2022-Jan-05 — /Travel PR News/ — The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) announced today (Jan. 3, 2021) that Delta Air Lines has added one-time service with nonstop flights from Birmingham (BHM), Huntsville (HSV) and Savannah (SAV) specifically for the College Football National Playoff Championship to be held in Indy next week.

The University of Alabama and the University of Georgia will square off in the playoff championship game, delivering a rematch of the much-talked-about Southeastern Conference Championship game.

Delta’s one-time nonstop service will fly out of Birmingham, Huntsville and Savannah to Indy on Jan. 8 – just in time for the weekend fan festivities here in Indianapolis. Returning flights are scheduled for Jan. 11, the day after the championship game.

“Delta literally has its eye on the ball with this one-time service opportunity for fans wanting to come join the excitement and fun rivalry in Indy that is sure to energize this much-hoped-for rematch of two titan college football teams,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez.
