With this new addition, IHG continues its strong growth trajectory, with over 140 Holiday Inn properties in Germany alone.

This marks another significant step in IHG’s expansion within Germany, in partnership with established hotel operator tristar GmbH. Following a comprehensive renovation, Holiday Inn Ratingen will open in the second half of 2025, extending IHG’s footprint in secondary markets and bringing the signature Holiday Inn experience to a fresh location.

As a conversion of an existing property, the hotel exemplifies the flexibility of the Holiday Inn brand and its ability to adapt to evolving market conditions. Guests will enjoy a variety of amenities designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. These include a full-service restaurant, the brand’s popular ‘Kids Stay & Eat Free’ program, a bar, and five meeting rooms suitable for both corporate and social events. Additionally, the hotel will feature the brand’s Open Lobby, a stylish and multifunctional space offering guests the freedom to relax, connect, or work in a design-forward environment.

Situated in the charming town of Ratingen, the 134-room hotel is ideally positioned near key local attractions and corporate hubs. Guests will also be just a short drive from Düsseldorf, Germany’s fashion capital, where they can visit iconic locations such as the Königsallee shopping district, the historic Düsseldorf Altstadt, and the Kunstpalast art museum.
