Gateway Airport Announces Michael Merk Manager – Real Estate and Business Development

Oversees airport property management, terminal advertising and concessions, leasing, and real estate development

MESA, Ariz., 2012-09-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport has named Michael Merk as its new Manager of Real Estate and Business Development – responsible for airport property management, terminal advertising and concessions, leasing, and real estate development

“The expansion of our Business Development team further strengthens our ability to promote available assets and expand the economic impact of the Airport,” said Lynn Kusy, executive director of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

Mr. Merk, has 28 years of real estate and business development experience and was most recently the Director of Real Estate for BAX Global Inc. where he managed real estate operations for a four million square-foot international real estate portfolio consisting of 120 buildings in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.  His most recent accomplishments include the completion of supply chain facilities at DFW Airport, JFK, and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

Mr. Merk and his wife live in Scottsdale and have seven children.
