Frontier relocates operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 5 at O’Hare International Airport

CHICAGO, 2018-May-14 — /Travel PR News/ — The Chicago Department of Aviation and Frontier Airlines announce that effective Saturday, May 12, 2018, Frontier will relocate its operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 5 at O’Hare International Airport, including ticketing, check-in, gate assignments and baggage claim. Frontier passengers are advised to follow airport signage into the airport and take the Bessie Coleman exit to access passenger departures/arrivals for Terminal 5.

Frontier’s flights will operate from common use gates in Terminal 5, as was the case in Terminal 3, and Frontier passengers flying domestic will claim luggage at Baggage Carousel #10 in the lower level of Terminal 5. Goddess & Grocer, Hub51 and RJ Grunts restaurants at Terminal 5 have extended their hours to provide passengers with breakfast options starting at 4:30 a.m.

All airport signage at O’Hare will be updated in the early morning hours of May 12 to reflect Frontier’s new location in Terminal 5. The changes will also be applied on the CDA’s website, www.FlyChicago.com. Frontier is notifying its customers in advance by email and will have staff and signage at its ticket counters in Terminal 3 during the transition to redirect passengers to Terminal 5. Frontier has also posted a notice about the move under travel alerts at www.FlyFrontier.com.

Frontier Airlines currently operates 10 daily departures from O’Hare. Its relocation to Terminal 5 is part of a broader initiative to better integrate domestic and international operations as the CDA prepares to modernize and redevelop the airport’s terminals. By moving to Terminal 5, Frontier and its passengers will also benefit from a nearly $1 billion upgrade and expansion that will soon be built soon as part of the recently-approved O’Hare 21 Terminal Area Plan.
