For customers purchasing Frontier’s lowest fares through outside booking channels, Frontier has implemented a new Basic fare option. With the Basic fare option, customers will get their seat assigned at check-in, earn 50 percent EarlyReturns miles, and pay higher fees.

The standard domestic roundtrip mileage redemption will drop to 20,000 miles from 25,000 and a standard domestic one-way award will drop to 10,000 miles. All international roundtrip award tickets will also be reduced by 5,000 miles.
