Proceeds to benefit research projects by the Haematological Cancer Research Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital
Chiang Mai, Thailand – 2013-02-14 — /travelprnews.com/ — Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is organizing its sixth Cancer Care Charity Fun Run and Family Day on Saturday, March 2, 2013, in association with the Thai Red Cross Society and other valuable partners. Proceeds from the Run will go towards research projects currently conducted by the Hematological Cancer Research Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital.
For the past 19 years, Four Seasons Hotels Thailand have held charity runs to raise funds for cancer research. In conjunction with sister properties Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok and Four SeasonsResort Koh Samui, last year’s run successfully raised THB 3.7 million, which was donated to the Hematological Cancer Research Center.
Beginning and ending at the Huay Tung Tao Reservoir in the Mae Rim district, the Run promises to be a fun and enjoyable day out for joggers and non-joggers alike, be they families, students, health enthusiasts, or just those who want to enjoy some of the clear air from the nearby mountains. And there’s no compulsion to run – participants are welcome to complete the course at their own pace, and may simply enjoy a stroll if they so prefer.
Registration for the Run starts at 6:30 am, and the official starting time is 7:30 am. Participants are invited to join in the 3.5 km run with a minimum donation of THB 280.00 for adults and THB 200.00 for children under 13 years, including an official Cancer Care T-shirt, or THB 450.00 including an official Cancer Care polo shirt.
All runners will also receive a breakfast box and the chance to win exciting prizes, including vouchers for accommodation at variousFour Seasons hotels and resorts around the world. The largest group of runners will also be awarded with the Queen’s Trophy.
