(NEWS) MUMBAI, Maharashtra, India, 2026-Sep-16 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is turning this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi into a destination-focused stay, using its Worli location as a base for personalised pandal visits, chauffeured city exploration and a festival menu built around Maharashtrian favourites.
The programme runs alongside Mumbai’s 2026 Ganeshotsav celebrations, which began on September 14 and culminate with Anant Chaturdashi on September 25. Four Seasons says its concierge team can create individual darshan itineraries, arrange transportation to selected pandals and help first-time visitors understand the rituals and traditions that shape the festival.
The hotel outlined the experiences in a September 15 update, positioning the stay less as a standalone hotel promotion and more as a way for visitors to navigate one of Mumbai’s busiest and most culturally significant periods of the year.
Landmark pandals anchor the city experience
Among the celebrations highlighted by the hotel is Lalbaugcha Raja, one of Mumbai’s best-known Ganpati installations. The hotel also points guests toward Mumbaicha Raja at Ganesh Galli, Chinchpoklicha Chintamani, GSB Seva Mandal and Khetwadicha Ganraj, each offering a different expression of the city’s community-based Ganesh Chaturthi tradition.
Lalbaugcha Raja’s own 2026 festival schedule confirms that its ceremonial installation took place on September 14, with in-person darshan queues opening after 6:00 a.m. and online darshan available through the immersion procession on September 25. That extended access is particularly useful for travellers trying to balance major festival visits with the realities of navigating crowded celebration areas.
Rather than prescribing a fixed circuit, Four Seasons says its concierge team is tailoring recommendations around guest interests. That can include private darshan planning, chauffeured visits to cultural landmarks and guidance for international visitors unfamiliar with the customs surrounding Ganesh Chaturthi.
Maharashtrian food becomes part of the itinerary
The cultural programme extends into the hotel’s dining offer. From September 14–25, guests can order a Maharashtrian menu featuring mini batata wada, alu wadi and kothimbir wadi, along with masala bhaat served with aamti and batata bhaji.
Festival sweets and celebratory dishes are also prominent. The menu includes saffron shrikhand with whole-wheat puris, ukadiche modak filled with jaggery and coconut, and puran poli served with saffron-cardamom milk and ghee. Modak is closely associated with Ganesh Chaturthi and gives the hotel’s food programme a direct link to the festival rather than treating the menu as a generic seasonal promotion.
Guests can also return to the hotel’s regular restaurants or spend the evening at AER, its rooftop venue overlooking Mumbai’s skyline, after daytime or evening festival excursions.
A hotel stay built around Mumbai rather than away from it
Nitesh Gandhi, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, said the aim is to help guests experience the city’s devotion, music and sense of togetherness while making the logistics more manageable and personal.
That approach reflects a wider shift in luxury hospitality toward destination-led experiences, where hotels use local knowledge, food and transport planning to connect guests more directly with major cultural events. In Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi, the city itself is the main attraction, and Four Seasons is framing its role as a gateway to the celebrations rather than a retreat from them.
