Toronto, Canada, 2022-Aug-21 — /Travel PR News/ — On the heels of introducing three new members to its leadership team, Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is announcing the appointment, and return, of the property’s new Senior Spa Director Carlos Calvo Rodríguez.
Beginning his Four Seasons journey in 2007 as a Massage Therapist at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, Carlos has a rich history of personalizing spa and wellness journeys from beginning to end. As a natural service-driven leader, Carlos’ strong management capabilities were soon recognized and he was appointed the Therapist Supervisor in 2008 before being named Assistant Spa Director in 2009. Quickly gaining more knowledge, Carlos began a rotational role in 2011 within global Four Seasons spas.
With the opening of the new Four Seasons flagship property in 2012, Carlos made his way from Paris to Toronto, where he took on the role of Spa Manager. For the following four years, and building the foundation for the Spa’s standing Forbes Five-Star recognition, Carlos brought continued imagination and innovation to the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto as he was appointed the Spa Director in 2016.
Soon afterwards, an opportunity presented Carlos with the chance to provide training, coaching and help to advance policies and procedures for global spa and wellness operations within another luxury hotel group. Taking a leap and moving to Hong Kong, he was there named assistant vice president of spa and wellness training and operations. Now returning to the birthplace of Four Seasons and reuniting with his Four Seasons family, Carlos will bring his passion and strong skillsets back to North America as Senior Spa Director of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.
“Carlos is no stranger to overseeing everything from training employees and managing operations to providing the highest level of guest service,” says General Manager Patrick Pollak. “Welcoming Carlos back to Four Seasons Hotel Toronto was a clear decision. We know he has exactly what is required to uphold our standards, guarantee flawless and personalized wellness experiences and lead his team to new heights.”
In addition to his dedication to enhancing guests’ mental, emotional and physical health, Carlos is also quadrilingual, a licensed physical therapist and enjoys leading a healthy and mindful lifestyle through photography, literature, hiking and meditation. His knowledge, skills and infectious enthusiasm enable him to leave a positive and lasting impression on all that visit the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto.
