Michelin-Starred Chef Anne-Sophie Pic Creates Exquisite Dishes Using Wild Herbs and Aromatic Plants

Scheduled to open on June 11, 2021, Michelin-starred Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s new restaurant La Dame de Pic – Le 1920 offers innovative cuisine that makes the most of local alpine produce. The restaurant will keep its historic name, a tribute to the year in which Noémie de Rothschild arrived in Megève a century ago. Ariane de Rothschild and Anne-Sophie Pic have worked closely together to define the restaurant concept, its overall mission, vision and values.

Ingredients are sourced from carefully selected producers, with dishes highlighting the best of seasonal ingredients. “I find Megève provides a pleasant, soothing escape. Over the course of the last few years, I have discovered truly inspiring produce. Four Seasons is a unique place to bring out the true flavours of local ingredients,” explains Anne-Sophie Pic.

The Chef regularly hikes through stunning local landscapes to forage for flowers, wild herbs and aromatic plants to use in her cooking. Fir bud, meadowsweet, sweet clover, caraway and hogweed are just a few examples of the many herbs and fragrant blooms Anne-Sophie Pic uses to add flavour and aroma to her exquisite creations.

Fitness Program with Adèle Van Damme and Julien Lizeroux

Along with a new gastronomic offer, Four Seasons Hotel Megève offers guests the unique opportunity to get back into shape with renowned sports coach and founder of Pilates Fusion Adèle Van Damme and Alpine skier and vice world champion Julien Lizeroux. The two have joined forces to create a program designed to relax, recharge, and harmonise the body and mind. The 5-day program features physical exercises suitable for all levels, along with spa treatments and healthy, well-balanced gourmet meals.

Every day, guests engage in a physical activity of their choice as they breathe in pure alpine air. Designed to strengthen muscles, improve posture and tone the body, the activities include fusion Pilates, yoga, mountain biking, hiking and rigorous training sessions.

Michelin-starred Chef Anne-Sophie Pic of La Dame de Pic-Le 1920 has crafted a range of creative dishes that are sure to delight the palate of gourmets, while natural herbal teas made with soothing local herbs and plants are made available in the afternoons to aid relaxation. The energetically charged mountains and surrounding rich wilderness provide the perfect setting to take part in walking meditation sessions that take in wonderful Alpine views and make guests feel at one with nature.

At the hotel Spa, which has an attractive indoor-outdoor swimming pool, expert therapists carry out relaxing treatments to soothe aching muscles after an invigorating walk or a busy morning packed with exercise. Among the treatments on offer are a CBD-infused massage, known for its anti-inflammatory properties; a sports percussion massage, ideal for prevention and recovery; an Olivier Claire youth hydrating facial treatment; and a revitalising detox massage designed to cleanse and purify the body.

Offer available from June 21 to 25 and from September 6 to 10, 2021. Prices start from EUR 2950 per person (5 days/4 nights) for single room occupancy.

The Newly Launched Mont Blanc Suite, Inspired by Verdant Alpine Scenery

This summer, Four Seasons Hotel Megève launches the property’s most prestigious signature suite, the Mont Blanc Suite. Occupying the entire 5th floor of the Hotel, the suite consists of five connected rooms – two suites and three bedrooms – making it perfectly suited for families. The spacious lounge-cum-dining room has a warm and contemporary alpine atmosphere, with colour schemes recalling the greenery of the Alps in summer. “We have chosen light shades of green that echo nature at this time of year,” explains interior decorator Pierre-Yves Rochon, who worked closely with Ariane de Rothschild to redesign the Hotel interiors. An alabaster table with a hammered steel structure dominates the dining area, while the elegant bathroom features a freestanding bathtub with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. The wooden ceilings and granite bathrooms are inspired by French architect Henry Jacques Le Meme, a pioneer of mountain chalet architecture. The suite’s large terraces boast panoramic views of the Côte 2000 mountain and the jagged limestone peaks of the Aravis Range.

Activities to Suit All Tastes, from Yoga and Meditation Sessions to E-Biking and Horseback Rides

The Hotel offers a range of bespoke experiences to allow guests to discover the beauty of the Alps. Couples and families can enjoy a gourmet picnic on the banks of Lake Javen, a spectacular emerald-green lake hemmed in by craggy peaks that is located within striking distance of the Hotel. The chefs will put together an exquisite gourmet picnic, with cheeses, terrines and wines sourced from Edmond de Rothschild properties.

E-bikes are available from the Hotel to explore the surrounding area and take in all the beauty of the Alps. There are trails to suit all fitness levels, from gently undulating tracks meandering through meadows to steep rocky runs through shaded forests for advanced mountain bikers. Horseback rides are another delightful way to admire the surrounding landscape, passing through flowered meadows and verdant pastures where cows graze as their chiming bells echo softly throughout the valley. Yoga and meditation classes can also be organised on request. Sessions take place immersed in nature, where guests are lulled by the silence and pure air of the Alps, allowing them to draw energy from the mountains, and reconnect body and mind. Children will thoroughly enjoy the petting farm by the Hotel, where goats, rabbits and chickens roam freely. Little ones can make the most of the delightful wooden treehouse with slide, where they can play games and enjoy sweet and savoury snacks.
