(NEWS) MACAU, China, 2026-Sep-11 — /Travel PR News/ — Macau’s hospitality sector will again turn a hotel-led community event into a citywide fundraising effort this autumn, with Four Seasons Hotel Macao setting Sunday, November 1, for the 2026 edition of its Run of Hope.
The event will offer two formats: a competitive 5.6-kilometre run and a family-oriented 3-kilometre walk. Both routes will begin and finish at the hotel, bringing together runners, walkers, families and local organisations in support of cancer research at Kiang Wu Hospital as well as other charitable causes in Macau.
According to details released by Four Seasons Hotel Macao, the event is being co-organised with The International School of Macao and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macao. The organisers are also linking the initiative with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on good health and well-being.
A community event with a student-designed identity
The 2026 edition includes a new creative element developed by students at The International School of Macao. Their original event poster is built around the theme of hope and depicts participants running hand in hand, reflecting the event’s emphasis on collective support for people affected by cancer.
The accompanying campaign imagery places the student contribution at the centre of this year’s story, reinforcing the event’s blend of fundraising, community participation and youth involvement rather than treating it solely as a sporting fixture.
Run of Hope has been held in Macau since 2009. Four Seasons says the 2025 edition attracted nearly 400 participants and generated funds for cancer research, although the current announcement does not specify the amount raised.
Hospitality, wellness and fundraising meet on the route
The event gives visitors and residents a choice between a timed-style running challenge and a shorter walk intended to be accessible to families. By starting and finishing at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, it also places a hospitality property at the operational centre of a public-facing health and charity initiative.
For the hotel sector, events of this kind sit at the intersection of destination engagement and corporate community programmes. In this case, the format combines active participation with fundraising for a local medical institution, while also giving schools, businesses and families a common event around which to organise teams.
Registration for individuals and teams is now open through the official Run of Hope Macau website. The November 1 event will mark the latest chapter in a programme that has now been part of Macau’s community calendar for more than a decade.
