(PRESS RELEASE) Geneva, Switzerland, 2024-Nov-15 — /Travel PR News/ — In celebration of World Kindness Day on November 13, 2024, Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva is spreading joy and generosity with a limited-edition dessert designed to raise funds for a meaningful cause. Pastry Chef Lyece Major has crafted a special heart-shaped red velvet sponge cake, with all proceeds going to Partage, a Swiss non-profit organization dedicated to combating hunger and food waste in Geneva.
Known for his innovative takes on classic desserts, Chef Lyece Major has transformed a simple red velvet cake into a divine creation. The cake is topped with a creamy cheese mousse and cherry griottes confit, offering a rich and indulgent treat that serves 4 to 6 people. With only 50 cakes available, each slice not only provides a delicious experience but also contributes to the efforts of Partage, which helps feed those in need by redistributing unsold food to local institutions.
Partage’s mission is crucial in Geneva, where it fights food insecurity by collecting surplus goods from retailers and food companies and redistributing them to community organizations. In 2023, the organization provided food assistance to over 15,000 people every week, distributing nearly 2,000 tons of food across the city.
“We are thrilled to celebrate World Kindness Day in a meaningful way by supporting Partage with this special red velvet cake,” said Chef Lyece Major. “It’s a sweet way to not only enjoy a delicious dessert but also give back to the Geneva community in a time of need.”
Available from November 13, 2024, the heart-shaped cake can be pre-ordered for CHF 60 with a 48-hour notice. It can be enjoyed either as a takeaway or savored in the elegant Bar des Bergues at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues. Reservations can be made at +41 22 908 71 10.
